The Edinburgh Composite Door
The Edinburgh composite door design is similar to the Ludlow 2 but with a taller glazed area. Based on the classic four panel Victorian design it allows generous amounts of light to flood into your home.
Solidor manufacture the core of the door from a tri-laminated hardwood slab. This hardwood slab gives the door its strength, they then wrap the core in an ABS door skin which gives the internal and external colours. The edges of the door and finished with a PVCu edge band, sealing the core away from the elements and making it easy to maintain.
We manufacture the door framework at our factory in Aldermans Green, Coventry. Using the Veka Halo profile suite, we have several colours designed to complement your new composite door.
Due to the size of the glazed area, the Edinburgh composite door cannot be made as a stable door. We can however manufacture this design as a French door. The tall glazed area of the Edinburgh design will make an imposing entrance door at the front of your property.
For composite door combination frames, the Edinburgh does not have matching side panels. To help with the aesthetics of your new door we can manufacture PVCu side panels to go with your new door.
For those that crave privacy, the Edinburgh design can be manufactured as a solid door without glass .
